Trainee Sales Management

As a Sales Management Trainee at Bakon, you will work in the sales department and learn all facets of the profession and get to know our organization and our products. You will gain insight into developments in the market and what influence they have on our sales process.

You will gradually be given more responsibilities, you will have the space to take initiatives, we are curious about your ideas and you will develop your own approach that fits in with how we present ourselves to customers and what Bakon stands for. You will be assigned a region, where you can rely on your colleagues for advice and support. There is plenty of room for development and challenge in this position!

Function, skills & competences

Knowledge and experience:

  • Completed HBO education, preferably sales related and/or with an affinity with our product.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Customer Management and Relationship Maintenance: You maintain contact with customers from initial interest to commissioning of the machines. You organize and coordinate company visits for customers from the region or countries for which you are responsible.
  • Sales Support and Reporting: You actively participate in sales meetings where you inform, report and provide input. You report directly to the General Manager and provide regular updates via visit reports.
  • Acquisition and Market Development: You are responsible for the weekly acquisition planning in the assigned countries. Make proposals to improve commercial activities and you support the development of policy principles. You keep the management informed about all relevant market developments.
  • Strategy and Planning: You work with resellers and dealers to draw up marketing plans and sales forecasts. You set  sales targets per period and discuss them during sales meetings. You are partly responsible for every quotation issued, both technically and price-wise.
  • Support and Guidance: You encourage and support agents, dealers and resellers to achieve sales goals. You participate in the development of the sales policy and strategy for the relevant countries.

  • A proactive attitude and the willingness to learn a lot about the markets in which Bakon operates;
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team;
  • A driven personality who can motivate and activate both internal teams and external partners;
  • Flexibility to travel within assigned regions and a strong interest in international trade and commerce;
  • Languages: Dutch, English.
